Overview

IICO's main goal is removing the suffering of needy people and bring lasting improvements in their life. "Together the needy will never ask again" indicates IICO's policy of empowering the poor so that they would become productive and self-sufficient and never be in need again. IICO was founded to meet the increasing urgent needs of poor societies especially in Muslim countries where poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, diseases, famine, and other difficult situations are persisting.

Mission

IICO provides global and humanitarian aids, aiming at assisting the poor communities and helping them develope their resources in the most efficient ways so that they become self-sufficient.

Goodgate is a social enterprise which connects donors to good causes, and promotes transparency, efficiency, and performance in philanthropy across the Muslim world. In short, we want to help ordinary people do good, better.

Our flagship website, Goodgate.org, is the place to find good causes from across the Muslim world, which encompasses over 1.5 billion people, 57 Muslim-majority (OIC) countries, and Muslim minority communities everywhere. We focus on the Muslim world because of its vast development challenges, the urgent need to modernize philanthropy in line with global standards, and because of the unique requirements of the Muslim donor, such as paying zakat. We hope that in some small way, Goodgate can help to mobilize the goodwill of the Muslim world and harness its philanthropic potential to produce better outcomes for people in need.
